Is Micro-needling Painful?

Does Micro-Needling Hurt?
A common question we get asked when it comes to micro-needling is, will it hurt? We are always happy to share with our clients that, no, micro-needling does not hurt. All of our treatments are provided with you and your comfort in mind. Micro-needling is a treatment that stimulates collagen and elastin production by creating tiny, controlled micro-injuries on the skin.
To prep you for micro-needling we apply a topical numbing cream to your face and neck allowing for the most relaxing and comfortable experience. Once the treatment begins, you will not feel any pain. Post treatment you may feel mild tightening, swelling, and redness to the skin, similar to a sunburn for 24-48 hours. Results begin within 1-2 weeks of treatment with continued results developing up to 6 months after treatment.

Micro-needling with Hyaluronic Acid
The traditional micro-needling treatment uses hyaluronic acid serum which is a naturally occurring substance that binds water and provides intense hydration and plumpness to the skin. The combination of micro-needling with HA increases collagen production by 400%, improves skin elasticity, texture, and reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
  Micro-needling with PRP
PRP and micro-needling is the perfect combination; while micro-needling causes controlled damage to the skin, PRP delivers growth factors that promote healing and 1,000% more collagen production. Results are the same as regular micro-needling but amplified and is more effective on treating acne scars and hyperpigmentation.
